Carlo Falco joined the KRCR Weather Team in April of 2012. He is a Meteorologist from the small ocean side town of Swampscott, Massachusetts just north of Boston. California is chock full of adventures for this native East-Coaster and he is looking forward to everything the Northstate has to offer. Carlo got his Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Plymouth State University in Plymouth, New Hampshire and a Masters of the Arts in Broadcast Journalism from Emerson College in Boston. While at Emerson he acted as Weather Producer and anchor for the college news channel WEBN. He also won the Collegiate AP award for his weather presentation in 2012.
Carlo interned at Fox25 in Boston, MA where he helped track the June 1st, 2011 EF3 tornado in Springfield, MA. He and Chief Meteorologist Kevin Lemanowicz picked out the tornado producing thunderstorm 6 minutes before the National Weather Service did and before any other new stations.
Carlo loves snow, and is excited for the ski season. He loves to snowboard, hike, bicycle, work out, and sail. He is looking forward to summer when the roads clear in Lassen Volcanic National Park. He also loves cars and is looking forward to driving the great roads in the mountains around Redding.
