Jennifer Scarborough has been with KRCR News Channel 7 for nearly two decades.
Jennifer grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico (where she went to high school with Chief Meteorologist Mike Krueger) and graduated college at the University of San Diego.
She came to KRCR in 1995 as the Tehama County reporter after a short stint in Carlsbad as an anchor and reporter for KDCI News.
Since 2005 she has been the news director, and anchor of News Channel 7 at 5 and 5:30.
Jennifer is a board member for One Safe Place, formerly the Shasta Women’s Refuge and Shasta Family Justice Center, a cause she is passionate about.
“As a mother I cannot imagine being in a position where I am unable to keep myself and my children safe,” said Jennifer. “Yet, so many women and children live with violence every day. OSP provides important services to our community. Helping women, children and men break the cycle of violence so that we can all have a better future.”
Jennifer married Gary, a local attorney, in 2003. They have four boys Justin, Connor, and identical twins Carson and Ryan.
“People always ask me how I do it, working full time and raising four boys,” she said. “I tell them I don’t. Our house is a wreck — it looks like it has been ransacked by tiny burglars looking for Legos and Hot Wheels. But it is a lot of fun! And my husband and I love that we are able to raise our children in such a wonderful community.”
