Child Put in Protective Custody by Shasta Interagency Narcotic Task Force
A probation search on Apr. 10, led the Shasta Interagency Narcotic Task Force (SINTF) to two arrests and a child placed in protective custody.
According to SINTF, a probation search was conducted for 31-year-old Lai Kuang Saechao at a home on the 1000 block of Lebrun Ln. in Redding.
During the search, agents found about 5.5 grams of methamphetamine, 5.5 lbs. (1,611.5 grams) of processed marijuana, a loaded .38 revolver as well as evidence and money related to the suspected sales of the drugs.
In addition, Saechao’s wife, 35-year-old Mianna Lucy Saechao, and her five-year-old child were present in the home.
Saechao was arrested for child endangerment, possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of marijuana for sale and a probation violation in addition to being a felon in possession of a firearm.
His wife was also arrested for child endangerment and possession of marijuana for sale.
Saechao has been on post-release community supervision (AB 109) for the sale of controlled substances. He was also awaiting sentencing for other narcotics-related offenses.
Both adults were booked at the Shasta County Jail and the child was placed in protective custody.
