Cincinnati quarterback Munchie Legaux reportedly will stay overnight in a hospital in Champaign, Ill., after he suffered a left leg injury Saturday at Illinois.
Legaux was hit by two defenders in the fourth quarter of the Bearcats' 45-17 loss. Players and coaches from both teams surrounded him while he was checked on the field, and then he was carted off. Cincinnati coach Tommy Tuberville and athletic director Whit Babcock visited him at the hospital, and his family reportedly was on the way.
Legaux threw for 237 yards and a touchdown and ran for 52 yards before getting hurt.
