CORNING, Calif. -

A Corning man was arrested on drug charges after a search warrant was served at his home Thursday. The Tehama County District Attorney said investigators found marijuana worth between $200,000 and $400,000.

Aureliano Garcia, 44 of Corning, was arrested and booked into the Tehama County Jail for possession for marijuana for sale and cultivation of marijuana.

On Thursday Tehama County District Attorney Investigators executed a search warrant at a residence in the 4200 block of Orchard Avenue in Corning.

Investigators said they located an outdoor marijuana growing and processing operation.  A search of the premises produced 36 mature marijuana plants that had not yet been harvested along with approximately 100 pounds of processed marijuana bud.

The D.A.'s office said the remaining marijuana plants would have yielded an additional 75 to 100 pounds of marijuana bud, and the total operation would have brought between $200,000 and $400,000.

This was a one week investigation.  According to a news release from the district attorney's office, more arrests are expected.
