The winter holiday DUI crackdown has landed dozens of people in jail in Shasta County.
38 individuals have been arrested between Dec. 14 through Dec. 25 of this year. Last year, 49 people were arrested during the same period of time.
Of the arrests, one involved a death that is believed to be alcohol related.
It happened on Sunday in Igo when a man's car drifted off of the road, hit a fence and then a tree.
Law enforcement agencies said that they will keep the crackdown going through New Year's Day.
