Domestic Violence Suspect Re-Arrested After Returning to Scene of Earlier Incident
A Shasta County man is back in jail after police said he returned to the scene of a previous domestic violence incident.
Anderson Police officers arrested Sysomephonh Phoumychack, age 26 of Cottonwood, after they say he made unlawful entry into a home in Anderson Sunday afternoon around 3:15.
Police said he was not supposed to be there due to a restraining order.
In January Phoumychack was arrested for domestic violence at the same home. Police say in that incident he choked and hit his victim in the head more than a dozen times. The investigation revealed the victim suffered a traumatic injury.
Phoumychack pleaded to the charges, was placed on felony probation, and a Domestic Violence Restraining Order (DVRO) was issued to protect his victim.
Then on Sunday officers said he entered the home, and ran off before officers arrived. Anderson Police located him in a nearby area. They said he had a blood alcohol level of .316.
Phoumychack was taken into custody and booked at the Shasta County Jail for trespassing, violating the court issued DVRO and for violating the terms of his probation. Phoumychack specifically violated the no alcohol clause of his probation.
