CHICO, Calif. -

Chico Police are looking for the person who set off several dry ice bombs in Bidwell Park early Sunday morning.

Three loud explosions were reported in the One Mile Recreation Area.  The first explosion happened around 12:45 a.m. followed by other explosions at 1:15 a.m. and 1:45 a.m.

Officers heard a fourth explosion in the area of Sycamore Field just after 2:00 a.m.

Police found the remains of four dry ice bombs and two undetonated bombs nearby.

These bombs are easy to make.  All it takes is a little piece of dry ice in a plastic bottle and seal the lid tight.

A pound of dry ice cost around $1.49 a pound.

Chico Police Bomb Squad says dry ice are more dangerous than fireworks because they are so unpredictable when they go off.

"If I was on a night run and if they were out here doing it I would get injured," says Kayla Lopez, who runs in Bidwell Park at night.

Chico Police have released a photo of a possible suspect.  He is described as a white man in his 30s, 5'10"-6'0" tall, and 200-220 lbs.  He was last seen on a black beach cruiser bicycle.

Anyone with information should call the Chico Police Department at 897-4900.
