Redding Police Investigate Stabbing

Police are investigating a stabbing they say started as a fight among four transients.

It happened Saturday around 3:55 p.m.

Investigators say John Brown, 32, stabbed Gabriel Barnett, 38, in the neck, while Angela Brown, 35, hit Brenda Wilson, 51, with a 40-ounce beer bottle, causing an approximately 8-inch cut along the side of Wilson's face.

Barnett and Wilson walked to the area of Walgreens at 1775 Eureka Way, where someone called 911.

By the time police arrived at the scene, they say the Browns, who are brother and sister, fled the area.

Police are still looking for them. John Brown is described as a Native American male, 5'6" tall weighing approximately 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.  He has tattoos on his neck and face.

Angela Brown is described as a Native American female approximately 5’1” tall, weighing 120 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to call Redding police.
