REDDING, Calif. -

Redding Police are looking for a man who they say attempted to burglarize Kent's Market.

On Mar. 5, around 1 a.m., police responded to Kent's Meats & Groceries to discover a broken window but no suspect. They did however, find surveillance footage.

The video captures the suspect walking up to the front doors of the store and attempting to throw a rock through the front window. When the alarm sounds, the suspect flees on foot, tripping over a curb in the parking lot.

Kent Pfrimmer has owned the store for 35 years and has been victim to several attempted break-ins over the years, but said none of them were quite like this.

"I didn't even look at the video for 2 or 3 days or so but then I kept hearing people commenting about how funny he looked and how funny it was. I went back in the office and looked at it and then of course, it was very comical basically," Pfrimmer said.

He told us he uses a special type of glass that shatters and doesn't break the glass, but he still said it costs quite a bit of money to fix it.

"It's $500. You have to sell a lot of product to pay for that," Pfrimmer said.

He told us he doesn't think the suspect is a dangerous type of criminal saying, "I think we're pretty fortunate. He don't look too intelligent to me."

But he's still hoping officers will track him down.

"He wont stop," Pfrimmer said. "He'll just continue on down the road and do it more someplace else."

The suspect is approximately 5'11 and 350 lbs.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Redding Police Investigations Division at 225-4214 or Shasta County Secret Witness at 243-2319.
