Man Convicted of Forcible Rape in Shasta County
Terry Lee Crosley was found guilty today by a jury in Shasta County.
According to the Office of the District Attorney, Crosley, 48, was accused of raping his former wife outside her home on Nov. 18, 2010. He allegedly threatened to kill the woman during the assault and claimed that she needed “to die for the pain to stop.”
Crosley was found guilty of forcible rape, criminal threats and corporal injury to his former spouse. He was also originally accused of assault with a deadly weapon and other allegations involving a knife but was found not guilty for these infractions.
Crosley is assumed to be ineligible for probation and is scheduled to be sentenced with a potential 18 years and eight months in state prison on April 9.
