Mother Told Willows Police Her 11-Year-Old Daughter Was Followed Walking Home
Willows Police got a call from a mother Monday morning who said her 11-year-old daughter was followed home from school by a mysterious man the week before.
“She was allegedly followed by a subject that she described a dark skin, bushy hair, and bushy beard. She took different paths and she was being followed,” said Interim Willows Police Chief Jason Dahl.
Police said she was dropped off on the corner of Green St. and Pacific Ave.
The girl started walking down Green St. This is where she told police she got scared and started taking a different way home.
Once she realized this man was following her, she rushed into a friend's home and called her parents.
The mother called Willows Police the following week just to be safe, especially after what happened to Marysa Nichols last week.
“This girl did the right thing; she took a different route," Dahl said. "She didn't take a direct route home."
The Willows Unified School District left phone messages for parents Monday night saying they "had a report of an unidentified suspicious person in the community last week."
