The wife of the man who was recently critically injured from a propane tank explosion in Chico said on Wednesday that she visits him every weekend.
Sherry Wilson said her husband, Chris Wilson, 29, had 53 percent of his skin burned off after the explosion took place.
Chris Wilson is a truck driver who was filling his truck up at the Shasta Vista Almond Huller when the tank exploded. The cause of the blast is still being investigated.
Sherry Wilson said she visits her husband in Sacramento every weekend while he is being treated at UC Davis Medical Center. On Nov. 2, Wilson had his first skin graft surgery and she said that doctors are waiting to see how his body is healing before they perform more surgery.
Sherry said she is taking care of her and Chris' three boys alone in Paradise while he is hospitalized.
