PG&E Substation Burglarized Twice; Thieves Steal Over $11,000 Worth of Equipment

RED BLUFF, Calif. -

A Pacific Gas and Electric substation was burglarized twice over the weekend and the suspects got away with $11,200 worth of tools and equipment.

The first burglary happened just before 4:30p.m. Friday night at the substation on Highway 99 W and Altube Road in Red Bluff.

A worker at the substation reported that someone cut through a chain link fence to the property and stole 6 copper switch arms and 6 copper stationary switches.

The next night around 7:40p.m. another burglary was reported at the same location. The suspect cut locks to a storage container and stole 4 power drills, 2 electric grinders, and 1 skil saw.

The Tehama County Sheriff's Department is still investigating the burglary. If you have any information, contact the Sheriff's office.
