PARADISE, Calif. -

A 15-year-old boy from Paradise was injured in a vehicle vs. bicycle accident Sunday night around 5:30 p.m.

The accident happened on Scottwood Road, just south of Roe Road.

Paradise Police said a Chevy Suburban driven by Molly Colton, 20 of Paradise, was northbound on Scottwood Road when she crested a hill.

At the same time, the teenager came riding down a driveway, colliding with the right front corner of the SUV.  He was not wearing a helmet.

He suffered serious head injures and as taken to Enloe Medical Center where he was being treated in the neuro-trauma unit.  A representative at Enloe Hospital said no information was available about the teen's condition.

Police said the teen lives in the neighborhood, and was picking up his bicycle from a friend who lives at the home where the accident happened.

Police said neither the driver nor the bicyclist could see each other because of the hill and trees in the area.
