A Shasta County Pearl Harbor survivor has passed away.
Robert McCullough was 93-years-old when he died January 27th.
McCullough went to Pine Street Elementary and graduated from Shasta Union High School.
He was in his early twenties, stationed in Honolulu when Pearl Harbor was attacked.
McCullough's son, Michael, said his father was proud to say he served his country. Michael said Robert was very patriotic, loved life and was a very social man.
McCullough leaves behind a son, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several other family members.
Funeral services for McCullough are being held Thursday. They start at 11 a.m. at the Veterans Cemetery in Igo. It is open to the public.
McCullough's son also told me that because the Shasta County Pearl Harbor Association is down to only a few members, they unfortunately will no longer meet.
