PARADISE, Calif. -

A Paradise woman was taken to the hospital Tuesday morning after being hit by a pickup truck on Pearson Road.

The collision happened at 6:28 a.m. on Pearson Road, just east of Clark Road.

Police said the pedestrian, Connie Sue Duncan, 61 of Paradise, was trying to cross the road.  The driver, 37 year old Aaron McSpadden, was traveling westbound on a blind curve in the road.

The passenger side mirror of the pick-up struck Duncan, causing her to fall to the ground.  Police said Duncan was 191 feet outside of the designated crosswalk at the intersection of Clark Road and Pearson Road.

Duncan was taken to Feather River Hospital for treatment of pain to her neck.

Police said the driver is not expected to be cited.
