An investigation by Redding Police into $11,000 worth of stolen car parts led to the arrests of three people in Shasta Lake City.
On Feb. 8, Redding Police received a call from Cal-Redding U-Stor in Redding regarding a storage unit that was burglarized. Officers responded and determined over $11,000 in corvette parts had been stolen from the storage unit.
Only the day before, nine storage units had their locks cut the same storage business. Several of the storage units were empty and the others had miscellaneous items taken. Redding Police had taken a report but had no suspects.
Investigators conducted follow-up interviews and worked with management from Cal-Redding U-Stor to obtain surveillance video. From the video they found the suspect vehicle attached to the burglaries.
On Thursday, the suspect vehicle was seen at Northstate Recycling and the suspects within the vehicle were questioned.
From there, 22-year-old Madeline Melissa Manfredonia and 22-year-old Zackaria Alley Rich were both contacted at a residence. Manfredonia is from the City of Shasta Lake and Rich is a transient.
A search was conducted and stolen property was located. Manfredonia and Rich were interviewed and admitted to the burglaries.
Investigators also contacted and arrested 47-year-old Vonda Kay Kirk of the City of Shasta Lake after finding the victim's burned paperwork on Kirk's property.
Investigators also recovered one of the corvette parts on Twin View Blvd. in Redding.
Madeline Manfredonia, Zacharia Rich, and Vonda Kirk were all arrested and booked at the Shasta County Jail for burglary, possession of stolen property, and conspiracy to commit a felony.
