The Redding Veterans Resource Center held its second annual Housing and Resource Fair. They are trying to prevent veterans from becoming homeless. The fair takes place twice a year, in January and July 30.
Different services get together in one place and offer help in different areas.
Some programs help with going back to school, while others help with housing.
The goal is to make sure that veterans in the Northstate are taken care of and are not left on the streets.
"We help out with deposits for veterans that are out there that need an apartment,” said Site Director Dave Nervo. “If they get in a little bit of trouble with their rent we can help out , this is to prevent homelessness for veterans. Veterans have served our county and were here to help them out and make sure they get all the services they deserve.”
It is not too late to take advantage of the programs, for more information click on the ‘As Seen On Section.’
