Reward Offered In Walgreens Assault Case

REDDING, Calif. -

A $1,000 reward is offered to catch an woman who ran over a Walgreens employee who tried to stop her from shoplifting.    

Police released a surveillance photo of the woman investigators believe is responsible.

It happened Tuesday night at 6:57 p.m. at the Walgreens on Eureka Way in Redding.  Police said a woman left the store with several stolen items.  When employee Linda Lees, 54, confronted her in the parking lot, the customer drove away, knocking Lees to the ground.
   
The female suspect was described as a white female, 25 to 30 years of age, 5 foot 6 inches tall, 120 pounds.  She was wearing a black beanie cap, black jacket, camouflage overalls and dark colored snow boots.

The suspect was last seen leaving in a white Dodge extended cab pickup.  Secret Witness is offering the $1,000 reward for information.
