Second Arrest Made In 1997 Disappearance of 15-Year-Old Hannah Zaccaglini
For 15 years the disappearance of 15-year-old Hannah Zaccaglini has remained unsolved. Now in the period of two days, authorities have made two arrests in the case, taking a father and son into custody.
On Saturday, Edward Henline, Jr., 35 of Klamath Falls, Oregon, was arrested by Siskiyou County Sheriff's Detectives and Klamath Falls Police Department.
He faces charges of conspiracy and accessory to commit a crime. The charges stem from the 1997 disappearance and murder of Hannah Zaccaglini, who was last seen near the Henline home in McCloud, Calif.
Henline's father, Ed Henline, Sr., was arrested Thursday morning in McCloud. He faces a murder charge.
Zaccaglini's mother Jennifer issued a statement on the Justice for Hannah Facebook page. It said "Jennifer just said she hasn't been this happy in years. And WOW!!"
Siskiyou County Sheriff Jon Lopey said "I would like to thank the Klamath Falls Police Department for their assistance with this arrest. The investigation into Hannah's disappearance and death is continuing. If there are any citizens that have inforamtion regarding this case I would like to strongly urge them to contact Detective Jeff Moser at (530) 842-8764 or Sheriff's Dispatch at (530) 841-2900.
The sheriff's office is also conducting a parallel investigation involving the disappearnace of another McCloud resident. Karen Mero was 27 at the time of her disappearance which also happened in 1997.
