REDDING, Calif. -

A man who allegedly shot his neighbor turned himself in early Tuesday.

Raymond Azevedo, 62, turned himself to the Shasta County Sheriff's Office in around 4 a.m. Tuesday. As of 9 a.m. detectives said they were in the process of interviewing him.

Deputies had been searching for Azevedo since the shooting happened Saturday.  Deputies responded to Frazier Drive just before 11:30 a.m., just off Abernathy Lane.

Shasta County investigators say the neighbors were arguing over some sort of loud noise.

Investigators think Azevedo pulled out what's believed to be a 22 caliber handgun and started shooting.

James Hayes, 30, was shot.  A family member took him to the hospital and he's expected to make a full recovery.

Azevedo faces attempted homicide charges.
