On Friday night, more than a hundred people gathered at Johnny’s Cathouse in Redding for a fundraiser to help the family of Northstate Radio DJ Jose Ochoa of Power 94.

Jose Ochoa was found dead in his home on December 28, 2012.  The Shasta County Coroner says the cause of death was a heart attack, he was 35 years old.

Johnny’s Cathouse hosted an open DJ night to honor the late Jose Ochoa.  The cover was $5.00 to get in and all proceeds will be going to his widow Monica Ochoa and four children.

Ochoa's memorial service will be on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Civic Auditorium. You can donate money there or to the  “Jose Ochoa Legacy Fund” which has been set up at all local US Banks.
