REDDING, Calif. -

Trial dates have been set for the man accused of murdering his aunt and almost killing her husband in their West Redding home.

Candace Watson, 66, was found dead in her garage on Boston Avenue on June 8th. She had been stabbed several times.

Her husband, former Grant School Superintendent Bob Watson, was also stabbed several times. The 68-year-old survived.

Cody Nash, 30, Candace's Nephew, has pleaded not guilty to murder and attempted murder charges, even though investigators say he admitted slashing the Redding couple with a knife as a way to get up the courage to kill himself.

Nash's attorney asked to waive time in court Thursday afternoon, which the judge granted.

He is scheduled back in court in January to confirm trial dates. Right now, trial is scheduled in March.
