HAPPY VALLEY, Calif. -

A bear trapped in a tree Thursday afternoon made it down safely.

The Department of Fish and Game said sometime Thursday night the bear came down from the tree on its own and made its way back into the wild. There have been no reports or sightings of the bear since then.

Martha Bock found a bear.

Happy Valley isn't exactly "Bear Country," but that didn't change the fact that she came face to face with a bear resting in a tree.
