Customers in both Happy Valley and Bella Vista were without water Friday morning after two separate water main breaks.
Bella Vista Water Service encountered a series of problems as they worked to restore service to customers who lost water service Thursday night.
The outage started at 6:30 p.m. Thursday and affected 200 customers, along Highway 299.
The leak started in with a break in a 12 inch main on Lewis Lane. The situation got worse when there was a failure in a 6 inch lateral line.
Bella Vista Water Service said crews worked overnight to fix the problem. Service was temporarily restored around 7:30 a.m. Friday.
But within the hour, they encountered more problems downstream. They had to turn off service again. It's expected to be off until about noon.
Once service is restored, customers should run their shower for a few minutes to clear out air and cloudy water in the lines.
Water was also out in Happy Valley Friday morning. The Clear Creek Community Service District said a 10 inch main blew out around 11:30 p.m. Thursday at 5858 Happy Valley Road near Sacramento Teen Challenge Church. Crews worked overnight to access the pipe which is buried 7 feet deep.
Officials estimate water should be restored around 11 a.m. or noon. This water outage affected about 100 customers.
