REDDING, Calif. -

A Redding man is in critical condition after he was stabbed multiple times by his brother.

Police said it happened around 7 a.m. at the Twin View Mobile Home Park on Twin View Blvd. in Redding.

Officers said 43-year-old Michael Richlin and 28-year-old Joshua Good had an on-going dispute between the two of them.

Sgt. Pete Brindley said after an argument Monday morning between the brothers, Good left the trailer with a knife on his way to the facility showers across the street. Richlin went after Good to confront him, then Good attacked his brother with the knife. Richlin was reportedly stabbed as many as 10 times in the upper body.

A pitbull owned by one of the men charged out of the trailer and bit Good. Witnesses said the pitbull in return was stabbed in the eye.

Richlin was taken to Mercy Medical Center and Good was booked at the Shasta County jail on charges of attempted murder.

The injured pitbull, along with a second pitbull, were taken by Animal Control and will remain in a 10-day quarantine.
