Update: Police Search For Clues After a Man Was Found Shot in the Head

CHICO, Calif. -

Chico Police are searching for clues in a mysterious shooting at a mobile home park Saturday afternoon.

The shooting was reported at 4:55 p.m. at the Creekside Village Mobile Home Park at 3549 Esplanade in North Chico.

The victim was found sitting in a pickup truck with a gunshot wound to the head.  He was taken to Enloe Medical Center.  Police said he is in critical condition.  Police did not release the victim's name, he's described as a white male adult.

Police said there were no witnesses to the shooting.  Police at the scene searched the blue Nissan Frontier pickup where the man was found.  It had a decal in the back window which said Budget Handyman.

The motive for the shooting is unknown.  Anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or have information is asked to contact Chico Police Detective Bureau at (530) 897-5837 or the Chico Police Department at (530) 897-4900.
