Update: Victim in Mobile Home Park Shooting Dies 6 Days Later

CHICO, Calif. -

The man found shot in the head at a Chico mobile home park has died at the hospital.  

Chico Police are now investigating the case as a homicide.

The shooting happened last Saturday, April 6, at Creekside Village Mobile Home Park in North Chico at 3549 Esplanade.  The man was found sitting in a pickup truck with a gunshot wound to head just before 5 p.m.

The victim's name has not been released.  Chico Police said they would release the name and additional information on Monday, April 15.

Police said there were no witnesses to the shooting.  Police at the scene searched the blue Nissan Frontier pickup where the man was found.  It had a decal in the back window which said Budget Handyman.
