Notre Dame School Vandalism
CHICO, Calif. -

Vandals struck a Catholic church and school in Chico.   Graffiti was found on lockers at Notre Dame School Thursday morning.

The principal and parish priest said the graffiti included "6-6-6," a biblical reference to the "mark of the beast."

The vandals also wrote "smoke weed" and "pray to satan."

The vandals also broke into Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church which is located on the campus and is associated with the school.

The priest says altar cloths were thrown about.  All of the candles were lit and someone had been messing around with the organ.

The graffiti was removed by faculty before most of the students got to school Thursday morning.

This came the same week that a pro-atheist billboard was posted in Chico and defaced.
