REDDING, Calif. -

Mugshots of convicted criminals, who have skipped out on court for sentencing, are circulating and the public is helping nab those fleeing offenders.

Out of the 35 wanted criminals showcased by area law enforcement, 12 have been either caught or turned themselves into authorities.

"When you consider a lot of these folks have been running from various obligations for a large portion of their lives, and they don't want to be found, that's a very high success rate,” says Sgt. Shawn McGinnis with the Redding Police Department.

McGinnis says having as many eyes as possible on the Shasta’s Most Wanted mugshots aids all area law enforcement in capturing the convicted criminals who are on the run.

Anyone who spots or knows one of the wanted suspects can receive up to a $250 reward from Secret Witness for tips leading to an arrest.

All tipsters can remain anonymous.

Contact SHASCOM at (530) 245-6540 or Secret Witness at (530) 243-2319 if you have any information.

Shasta’s Most Wanted criminals are shown weekly on KRCR News Channel 7 every Saturday at 11p.m. and also on FOX20 at 10p.m.
