A high school chemistry competition shows just how good Butte County students are.
They deftly answered questions from molecular geometry to molar mass and titration.
There were four competitions including a five test tube mystery challenge where students were given five test tubes and had to figure out which solution was in which test tube.
Not an easy prospect given a 10-minute time limit.
Three high schools took part in the competition. Biggs and Chico High Schools and Inspire School of Arts and Sciences all sent teams of students.
But ultimately one had to be named champion and this year Chico High School took the trophy. They won all four events.
All the Chico students were part of Jenelle Ball’s AP chemistry class.
