Chico businesses pitch in to help student's family

CHICO, Calif. -

Dozens of downtown Chico businesses are coming together to help the family of a Chico State University student who was killed on campus in August.

Pa Houa Lor, 18, was killed August 27 when a branch from a tree fell and hit her in the head.

On Thursday, September 19, more than forty downtown Chico businesses will raise money for Lor's family.

Businesses participating in Thursday's fundraising effort include:

The "Pa Houa Memorial" fund is available to accept donations at the Cohasset and downtown branches of Bank of America.
