CHICO, Calif. -

Police are searching for clues after two separate stabbings in Chico Tuesday night.
A man and a woman were injured.

The first incident happened around 8:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of Fairway Alley, near East 5th and Mangrove Avenues.

The female victim told police she was walking alone when she was confronted by three Hispanic women.  They assaulted her, stabbed her in the lower arm and ran off.

Then just before 9 p.m. police were called to the 200 block of Main Street where they found a man who had been stabbed and was bleeding from his back.

The 20-year-old transient  sought help at a business.  He told police he had been in a fight at City Plaza when he was stabbed once in the back.  He could not provide a description of the suspect.

If you have information on either incident call Chico Police.
