Chop Chix Salon in Redding held its fifth annual "Think Pink Extravaganza” where stylists pampered men and women and all the proceeds go to Norcal Think Pink.
Women and men of all ages celebrated, by wearing pink. Along with their pampering, pink treats were also available for all customers.
Ann McConnell is one of the women who had to stop by the salon, she said it’s important to raise awareness.
“[Our goal is] to make aware everyday that we have a problem with breast cancer and that we need to support it the best way we can," said McConnell.
A minimum donation of $10 was required. Customers had their choice of waxing, haircuts, pink hair extensions or pink-glitter-gel toenails.
The event went from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Last year the salon raised more than $2,500 for Norcal Think Pink, this year they are hoping to meet or beat their previous year’s intake.
