REDDING, Calif. -

The California Highway patrol hosted a job seminar for women, Wednesday night.

CHP Northern Division PIO, Lacey Heitman said over the past five years CHP has only graduated 10 female officers, including Heitman herself.

"We have about 7 percent of females on our department and we're really looking for some strong female candidates to become CHP officers," said Heitman.
