Spring is in the air, and with that comes spring cleaning. Anderson Department of Public Works is making things easy to get rid of your unwieldy trash, but only if you’re an Anderson resident.
On Friday and Saturday, Anderson residents can throw out pretty much everything they have, except for hazardous wastes such as batteries, light bulbs and household chemicals like cleaning solvents. Tires are also on the “no-throw” list.
Fri., Apr. 26, residents can go to Anderson River Park and toss trash in the dumpster. And on Sat., Apr. 27, people can bring all they can carry to the Shasta District Fairgrounds. Even multiple carloads.
All you have to do is show an ID showing you live in Anderson or a water or utilities bill showing that you live in Anderson.
Friday’s dumpster will be at the Anderson River Park from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m., and the Clean-Up Day is this Saturday from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m.
