A City of Redding vehicle was involved in a three-vehicle crash that sent one woman to the hospital.
The collision happened around 9:15 a.m. Monday at Court and South Streets.
Redding Police said the driver of a silver Civic was westbound on South Street when he ran a red light. The car collided with a red Dodge SUV that was northbound on Court street. The SUV rolled onto its side trapping the female driver.
A City of Redding truck was driving on Court Street and was unable to avoid the collision, slamming into the back of the SUV.
Emergency personnel broke out the windshield of the SUV to free the driver. She was conscious and talking with firefighters when she was taken to the hospital.
The SUV was lying on its side, blocking the intersection.
The driver of the Civic was not seriously injured. He said his dog Scooter, a beagle mix, went missing after the collision.
