REDDING, Calif. -

Sunday marked the 5-month anniversary of the Clover Fire.

KRCR News Channel 7 paid a visit to Cloverdale and Clear Creek Roads Monday night.

We were on those very streets when massive flames burned several homes back on September 9, 2013.

Construction of a new home is underway just a few hundred feet from the intersection.

The ground is also saturated from the weekend rainfall.

The Clover Fire destroyed 68 homes.

It also claimed the life of 55-year-old Brian Henry. Henry refused orders from the Shasta County Sheriff's Department to leave his mobile home.

Zane Peterson has been charged with starting the fire, and murder.

The former U.S. Forest Service employee has pleaded not guilty.

A preliminary hearing is set for April 1st.
