A two-car collision sent three people to the hospital Sunday evening.

ANDERSON, Calif. -

Authorities have released the name of the 77-year-old woman who died in a two-car collision Sunday night in Anderson.

Juanita Ohta, of Anderson, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Three people were taken to the hospital after the crash at Highway 273 and Ox Yoke Road at 6:45 p.m.

Police said a Ohta was killed as she made a left turn in her Hyundai sedan.   An oncoming pickup truck slammed into her sedan.

The crash caused the closure of the highway, part of Ox Yoke Road and the nearby train tracks while officers worked to remove the wreckage.
