REDDING, Calif. -

A man is in critical condition after crashing his motorcycle in downtown Redding.

Redding police said they responded to a two vehicle collision on Pine St. near Cypress Ave. around 12:40 p.m. on Thursday.

When they arrived on scene, witnesses told them a 1990 Yamaha motorcycle driven by 26-year-old Israel Conger of Redding was traveling northbound on Pine St. when a 1987 Dodge Ram being driven by 55-year-old Bradley King exited a parking lot on Pine St.

Witnesses told police that Conger was traveling at a high rate of speed when the van and motorcycle collided.

Conger was ejected from his motorcycle and transported to Mercy Medical Center where he remains in critical condition.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact Redding police.
