CHICO, Calif. -

Students at Chico State University were rocked Wednesday by new details revealed in court documents in the case of a 40-year-old physician assistant charged with kidnapping two women, raping one, and trying to rape the other.

KRCR News Channel 7 also learned for the first time from law enforcement officials that the two victims were Chico State students.

Lonnie Keith was arrested in Chico in January.

We reported details Tuesday from both an affidavit police used to get a search warrant and the inventory of what police picked up with that warrant.

“I'm extremely disgusted that he turned his car into a rape mobile,” said Nikki Truscelli, a Chico State senior.

"He's somebody that is a professional business man,” added Chico State senior, Michelle Brown.

“It's scary to know that can happen to someone I know,” said Whitney Wright, a Chico State junior.

The details of the two attacks are laid out in the court documents.

In the first attack, police say the victim was walking alone at 8th and Cherry Streets, when a man wearing a nylon stocking on his head grabbed her and forced her into his car - at one point, placing his arm across her throat and telling her to beg for air, then sedating and raping her.

In the second attack, one police say the victim didn't remember much about, police believe Keith was wearing a dark mask when he kidnapped a victim at 7th and Orange Streets and tried to rape her too.

“We can't say she was necessarily sexually assaulted but that's certainly a good belief,” said Butte County District Attorney Mike Ramsey.

Ramsey believes police have two strong cases thanks in large part to forensic evidence.

“We have DNA results back, yes, and we are confident that it will link to Mr. Keith,” said Ramsey.

Details about how they obtained that evidence are included in the documents but they are graphic and we've chosen not to report them.

Keith will back in court on May 1. He could face up to 32 years to life in prison if convicted.  His bail still stands at $3.2 million.
