Kelly Gustafson popped the big question with 70 family members watching from the ground.

COTTONWOOD, Calif. -

Kelly Gustafson surprised his girlfriend, Morgan McCarley last Thursday night when he proposed while the two were riding in a helicopter.

Morgan thought she was going for her first helicopter ride, but what she didn't know was Gustafson chartered the chopper through a friend, and had 70 family members watching from the ground.

Family members were standing around vinyl that read, "WILL YOU MARRY ME."

The proposal happened above McCarley's family Ranch in Cottonwood.

Once the chopper landed on the property, Gustafson got down on one knee if front of family members and made things official by sliding an engagement ring on McCarley's finger.

The two are now planning a wedding and they're considering leaving their wedding ceremony in a chopper.
