CSU Chico employees concerned about missing W-2's
Concerns on the Chico State campus after more than thousand W-2's never showed up to employees.
The state controller's office has said the W-2's were sent out by on January 24, but now, almost three weeks later, they still haven't arrived.
Approximately 60 percent of the 2,000 or so employees at Chico State were affected by the error.
The Controller's Office and the California State University Chancellor's Office are both investigating.
Employees on campus voiced their concerns and Chico State took notice.
"There's a lot of frustration, definitely, on campus, and that's understandable," said Chico State Public Affairs Coordinator Sarah Langford. "Of course we would be concerned about personal information being missing in the mail but as of yet we don't really have enough information to know what's going on and whether there is indeed missing information."
The Chico ER reports Wednesday that the controller's office says the W-2's were indeed never printed.
KRCR has also sent a request for that confirmation from the Controller's Office and from Chico State University and have yet to hear back.
In the mean time, employees can visit the Chico State Office of Human Resources at to request an unofficial copy or duplicate copy of their W-2 to file their taxes. They are located in Kendall Hall Room 220.
