Denied Cash, Police Say Woman Punches Man in The Face

REDDING, Calif. -

A Redding woman is in jail after police say she punched a man in the face at a gas station overnight.

It happened around 1 a.m., at the AM/PM at 100 Lake Boulevard.

The victim Elwin Decker, 53, told police he was sitting is car when a woman asked him for money.

Decker says when he told the woman he didn't have cash she reached in his window and hit him in the face.

Officers found 43-year-old Kimberly Brooks walking nearby. Decker identified his attacker.

Brooks was arrested for battery and public intoxication.
