Deputies' K-9 tracks down suspect hiding in bathroom vanity

LOS MOLINOS, Calif. -

A suspect was captured  after deputies said he tried to hide inside a bathroom vanity during a burglary.  The incident happened Friday around 1:45 p.m. in the 8800 block of Highway 99 in Los Molinos.

Deputies contacted several people inside and outside the residence.  Deputies learned that there was a male subject hiding inside the residence inside a locked bedroom.

After a search of the residence deputies located Billy Wayne Carpenter, 29 of Los Molinos, hiding inside the bathroom vanity.

Deputies said Carpenter ignored orders from the deputies and refused to come out. Deputies deployed a K-9 into the room where Carpenter was hiding. Carpenter physically resisted arrest. After a brief struggle with deputies and the K-9, Carpenter was taken into custody.  He was booked into custody for possession of a controlled substance, possession of prescription narcotics and resisting with use of force.

Deputies said they located 1.2 grams of methamphetamine and 25 prescription tablets in Carpenters possession during a search incident to arrest. Carpenter also had $250,000 in outstanding arrest warrants.

During a consent search deputies also located .65 grams gross weight of methamphetamine inside a wallet belonging to Tawnya Jackson, afe 38 of Los Molinos, and 3.4 grams gross weight of methamphetamine in the possession of Suzette Gordesky, age 49 of Los Molinos.  Gordesky and Jackson were arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
