CORNING, Calif. -

A Corning woman could face charges of animal cruelty after deputies said several neglected animals were found in her care.

The Tehama County Sheriff's Office said on Friday, November 8, deputies conducted further investigation related to an on-going animal abuse/neglect case.  They went to a home in the 16000 block of Lariat Loop in Corning.

The sheriff's office seized 4 dogs, 2 cats, 7 chickens, 4 horses, 1 goat and 1 sheep, which were transported to the Tehama County Animal Care Center.  The animals were later evaluated by a veterinarian and all of the animals were determined to be the victim of general neglect.

The case is being prepared for submittal to the Tehama County District Attorney's Office.
