OROVILLE, Calif. -

A Oroville Police car was damaged early Friday by a suspect trying to flee in a stolen vehicle.  The driver damaged a total of three vehicles while trying to get away.

The collisions happened at 1:35 a.m. in the parking lot of Gold Country Casino.

According to the CHP, Oroville Police officers were looking for a Jeep that had been stolen.  An Oroville Police officer spotted a vehicle matching the description of the stolen Jeep, parked in the parking lot of Gold Country Casino.

The officer parked behind the Jeep and approached the vehicle.  The CHP said the driver of the stolen Jeep shifted into reverse, backed into patrol car and drove off.  The CHP said the Jeep hit a parked car while leaving the parking lot, pushing it into another parked vehicle.

The suspect vehicle was a red Jeep.  If you have information, call Oroville Police.
