Downtownredding.com is hosting their second annual October food drive. The non-perishable food drive will continue until Oct. 31, 2013.
Donations will go to "One Safe Place", which serves victims who have been sexually abused.
Sunnie Hunt, Co-Owner of Downtownredding.com, said she and other business owners got the idea after they saw the need at One Safe Place last year.
"The cupboards were empty and there were kids and mothers walking around and we were amazed at the lack of food and the big need for help so we filled those cupboards last year,” said Hunt.
They said it’s important to check the expiration dates on the canned goods to make sure that they are not expired.
