Firefighters battle a house fire off Highway 36W in the area of Oak Knoll Drive west of Red Bluff.
The two-story home was engulfed in flames when CAL FIRE, Red Bluff Fire, and Tehama County Fire responded Wednesday afternoon.
A family of six was home when the fire broke out; they escaped unharmed.
Firefighters said the flames likely started in the flue.
The fire is also causing power outages in the area.
According to PG&E, nearly 170 customers are currently in the dark.
